BIO 400 Biology Thesis

Fall-Spring Semesters

This course is the capstone for the Biology program that culminates the research series process (BIO101, BIO219, BIO 390  BIO 391  ). Students organize and present the data from their independent research projects or an extensive research proposal as professional biologists.  The course emphasizes technical aspects of scientific writing and speaking before critical audiences.  Students submit a professionally written scientific manuscript or research proposal.  Students also present their work in the form of professional posters to Biology faculty.  Prior to registering for this course, it is mandatory that at each student has already established an on-going working relationship with a full-time, on-campus member of the Biology faculty and have completed or made substantial progress on the research project or proposal. Prerequisite: BIO 391  with a grade of 2.0 or higher
