Biology Minor

The Biology minor provides students with the opportunity to explore the multidisciplinary study of biological systems from molecular to ecological principles. Through required and selected courses, this minor provides a foundation for students planning for careers and advanced work within biological fields.

Requirements (18-20 credits):

BIO 142 Molecules, Genes and Cells 4 credit hours
OR
BIO 150 Introduction to Molecular Biology 4 credit hours AND
BIO 151 Introduction to Molecular Biology Lab 0 credit hours
BIO 152 Evolution, Ecology and Diversity 4 credit hours
BIO 240 Genetics 4 credit hours AND
BIO 241 Genetics Lab 0 credit hours
Plus two additional Biology courses, 200 level or greater totaling at least 6 credits excluding BIO204
