Anthropology Minor

The anthropology minor is focused upon the systematic study of the human experience across all time periods and geographies. The focus of the minor and its courses is upon a framework of understanding that allows students to compare societies, cultures, and people in a relativistic context.

Requirements (18 credits):

ANT 210 Introduction to Physical Anthropology 3 credit hours
ANT 220 Cultural Anthropology 3 credit hours

Choose 12 credits from the following:

ANT 300 Food and Culture 3 credit hours
ANT 330 Anthropology of Religion 3 credit hours
ANT 350 Anthropology of Aging 3 credit hours
ANT 390 Selected Topics in Cultural Anthropology 3 credit hours
ANT 392 Anthropology and Medicine 3 credit hours
ANT 498 Independent Study 1-3 credit hours each semester
ANT 499 Independent Study 1-3 credit hours each semester
INT 101 Introduction to Indo-European Languages 3 credit hours
LIT 310 Language and Linguistics 3 credit hours
SOC 495 Sociology Internship 3 credit hours *
