BIO 150 Introduction to Molecular BiologyFall/Spring
This introductory level course is intended for Nursing, Health Professions and other STEM majors and introduces the core principles of molecular and cellular biology. The structure and function of biological macromolecules is presented as a foundation to important concepts of cellular biology. Cellular processes including transport, communication, and the flow of life-sustaining energy are studied. Methods of cell reproduction and the mechanism by which genetic information is inherited, utilized, and experimentally manipulated are introduces. 3 lecture hours. Corequisite: BIO 151
