BIO 409 Biology Research IV

Fall/Spring

This is the final course in a 4-course series that is designed to support and guide students in the design and execution of a research project. During the course series, students will work closely with a research mentor and fellow students to investigate a topic, design a laboratory or field study, and collect and analyze data. In this course, students will have the opportunity to further pursue their research topic in increasing depth, and continue to analyze and interpret the data collected during their scientific study. There will be opportunities to present their research to the wider scientific community.   Prerequisite: Students must have earned 60 or more credits and minimum of 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the time of application and departmental approval. Students may elect to take a maximum of four semesters up to four credits total.
