BIO 407 Biology Research IIFall/Spring
This is the second course in a 4-course series that is designed to support and guide students in the design and execution of an independent research project. During the course series, students will work closely with a research mentor and fellow students to investigate a topic, design a laboratory or field study, and collect and analyze data. In this course, students will test hypotheses developed in the previous course using appropriate methods and collect data for their project. Students will give a formal progress report of their research at the end of the course. Prerequisite: Students must have earned 60 or more credits and minimum of 2.5 cumulative grade point average at the time of application and departmental approval. Students may elect to take a maximum of four semesters up to four credits total.
