BIO 322 Biomedicine: Then and NowFall/Spring
This course will examine how biological concepts are connected, and how they impact society. The course will trace scientific disciplines historically through to modern research, discussing the impact that these discoveries have had on society. The biological basis of disease and disorders will be discussed and connections will be made to other disciplines. Students will engage in real-life cases and evaluate recent scientific findings in biology. Specific topics will vary by instructor, and may include: neurobiology, genetics, or infectious disease. This course may be taken by Biology majors, but may not be used to satisfy the 300-level Upper Division Elective degree requirement. BIO 204 is recommended, but not required.
