BIO 306 Animal Behavior



This course is an introduction to the behavior of wild animals in their natural environments. Behavioral adaptations are viewed in terms of possible evolutionary costs and benefits. Mechanisms behind behaviors are explored with an emphasis on neural and endocrine organization. Laboratory involves independent research projects in both lab and field settings. 3 hours lecture. 1 three-hour laboratory. Prerequisite: BIO 290
