BIO 304 Botany



This course will provide an introduction to the structure, function, taxonomy, systematics and ecology of vascular and non-vascular plants. The diversity and success of plants will be explored through their evolutionary adaptations to the environment and their ecological interactions with a variety of taxonomic groups. Field- and greenhouse- based labs will focus on taxonomy, physiology and ecology. 3 hours lecture. 1 three-hour laboratory. Prerequisite: BIO 290
