CHM 455 Professional Practice in Chemistry and Forensic Chemistry

This laboratory-based course is designed to give the advanced student laboratory experience in chemistry and forensic chemistry. The course will focus on practical skills and knowledge required for work and applications in the field. In several simulated court presentations, students sharpen their skill in presenting information related to their chosen field as a scientific expert. Topics include advanced analytical chemistry, instrumentation, and forensic evidence analysis. Further experience is inorganic, physical, and organic chemistry may be included. 2 three-hour lab periods. Prerequisite: CHM 236/237 and CHM 338/339
