EDU 291 Distance-Enabling Instructional Technologies
This course provides essential understandings about how people learn using technology in distance learning contexts, the effects of distance on the online learner, and the implications of these effects for teaching and designing online courses. Development of necessary technology proficiencies are emphasized. These proficiencies are then applied to build capacities to teach using distance-enabled technologies. Attention is given to how the online context affects the construction and delivery of content. In addition, legal and ethical frameworks are reinterpreted for online environments. Prerequisite: EDU 210 or SE 210
