CRW 382 Fiction Writing



This course is an introduction to fiction writing. Students will study a variety of fictional techniques and produce original works of short fiction. The majority of class will be devoted to the exploration of original student fiction using the workshop method, where students provide copies of their own fiction for guided classroom discussion. Readings will include contemporary fiction and essays on fiction writing craft. All students will turn in a portfolio of original fiction at the end of the semester. Prerequisite: FCO 210 (WRT210) FCO 215 , or FCO 225 (WRT225) .
