PS 368 Ancient Political Thought



A study of selected writings and texts from the ancient Greeks through the late Middle Ages. Topics to be discussed include the relevance of ancient philosophy, the nature of the polis, the role of the citizen, the rise of natural law, and the contributions of Christianity. Emphasis will be on a careful reading of primary sources. This course is cross-listed as PHL 368 .
