ECH 330 Teaching Science at the Early Childhood LevelFall-Spring Semesters
This course is a preparation for, and practice in, teaching early childhood science. Emphasis is placed on the inquiry approach and the development of concepts. The course includes instructional techniques, tasks that facilitate intrinsic motivation, questioning strategies, the use of children’s literature in science, and assessment techniques. The course is designed to help potential teachers implement the national science standards. Prerequisite: PPES.
