CHM 134 General Chemistry I

Fall-Spring Semesters

This introductory Chemistry course is recommended for all science and Engineering majors as well as Clinical Lab Science, Pre-medical, Pre-dental, Pre-veterinary, and Pre-pharmacy majors. The course includes an introduction to stoichiometry, atomic structure, chemical bonding, properties and reactions of inorganic compounds, introductory thermodynamics, acids and bases, and oxidation-reduction reactions. 3 class periods. Prerequisite: Two semesters of high school algebra or the equivalent. 1 three-hour laboratory period (CHM135).
