BIO 360 Neurobiology

This course is designed to allow the student to explore the biological basis of brain function, including the organization and anatomy of the mammalian brain, electrical and chemical signaling of nerve cells, plasticity of neural circuits, and early brain development. The laboratory component will include investigations of neural circuits, electrical properties of neurons, and molecular biological approaches to studying neural organization and function to reinforce concepts introduced in the lecture course. 3 hours lecture. 1 three-hour laboratory (BIO361). Prerequisite: BIO 290
