BIO 152 Evolution, Ecology and Diversity

Fall-Spring Semesters

This course will provide Biology majors with a foundation in evolution, ecology and diversity, with an emphasis on core concepts including natural selection, origin of species, phylogeny, population ecology and community ecology.  Core competencies will center on the process of science, quantitative reasoning, and communication.  Students will learn key field and laboratory techniques while working collaboratively on experimental design.  3 hours lecture.  1 three-hour laboratory. Prerequisite: BIO 142  or BIO 150 .

4 credit hours
