CM 338 Intermediate Film Production

In this course, students will gain a deeper understanding of film production. Particular attention will be devoted to specialized tasks like the creation of script breakdowns, shooting schedules, casting notices, location release forms, and post‐production workflow schedules. Students will also assume a key above‐the‐line crew position on an original film production. Working with their classmates and lower‐level Film and Media Arts majors, they will independently develop a short film of 5‐10 minutes in length, taking it from concept to completion. Prerequisite: CM 238.
