ART 264 Animation II: 3D Basics

Spring

This course offers a rigorous exploration into the foundational elements of 3D animation. Utilizing industry‐standard digital tools and artificial intelligence, students are introduced to polygonal modeling, providing a basis for object creation and modification. The course also addresses essential basic rigging, enabling the animation of these objects with precision. As students progress, they will apply fundamental lighting and camera techniques to enhance the depth and realism of their scenes. By the culmination of this course, participants will have the capability to produce a concise 3D scene, demonstrating their grasp of the primary concepts and techniques inherent to 3D animation.  Prerequisite: ART 213
