NUR 422/423 Nursing Concepts and Practice: Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
Concepts related to the care of populations with psychiatric illness are emphasized and issues in mental health treatment are explored. Psychiatric evaluation and the application of nursing process to diverse populations occur within agencies providing acute and chronic care. Collaboration and consultation with other health care providers is addressed. 2 class periods. 9 clinical experience hours. Prerequisite: NUR 314 , NUR 350/351 , NUR 352/353 Corequisite: NUR 400/401
