MBA 588 Internet Marketing Strategy
The student taking this course will gain an understanding of the wide ranging potential of the Internet as a marketing tool. Topics covered will include using the Internet to gather data and to build business-to business relationships, and selling networks as an electronic payment system, as a retailing outlet, and as a method of delivery of the product. Special attention will be paid to the limits to and potential of the technology, Internet security, and international, legal, ethical, and tax issues in using the Internet for marketing activity. This course focuses on the strategic and tactical use of the Internet as a marketing tool; it is not a programming course. Prerequisite: MBA 503 (3 credits)
