MBA 577 Project Management
The course will focus on the implications of successful project management on quality, efficiency, and performance of organizations. Change and progress is achieved through projects. Students in this course will learn how to manage a broad range of activities within an organization based on the PMBOK (www.pmi.org) in order to meet the requirements of a particular project. The process of managing a project - initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing - will be discussed, studied, and practiced in this course. Topics will include: Integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk management, procurement, and stakeholder management. (May be offered in blended format consisting of class and distance learning) Prerequisite: MBA 503 and MBA 505 . (3 credits)
