The Spartan Store’s mission is to provide quality products & services to the College community. We invite you to shop at the Spartan Store which offers course materials & supplies, imprinted clothing & gifts, convenience store products, as well as technology & accessories. 

 

The Spartan Store, located on the lower level of the Student Union, is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Saturday and hours for special events such as; Alumni events, Fall Fest/Family Weekend, Open House, Orientation, Spring Weekend, etc, can be found on the spartanstore.ycp.edu website. The Spartan Store has extended hours for the start of each semester to accommodate students with registration and online bookstore order pick up. 

 

For your convenience, spartanstore.ycp.edu offers a wide selection of imprinted apparel, gifts, technology & supplies, diploma frames and gift cards. For textbook/ebook purchases, students will visit the Online Bookstore icon on their MyYCP page, or visit ycp.textbookx.com. Once you log in with your YCP email address all course materials needed will be listed. Please note that the Spartan Store does not supply textbooks in store. 

 

The Spartan Store is also your source for graduation regalia, college rings, diploma frames and nursing pins.Jostens, the official college ring & nursing pin representative is available to service you on select dates posted on the Spartan Store website. Oak Hall, the official regalia resource for York College, offers online ordering through the Spartan Store website. Please follow guideline dates for ordering to assure your regalia is delivered in time for commencement. 

 

The Spartan Store accepts the following major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Apple Pay. York College Flex funds and Gift Cards are accepted for purchases in the Spartan Store (excludes Online Bookstore purchases). If you purchase frequently in the convenience store, using your flex card is a great way to purchase lower cost items. 

 

Return policy for general merchandise: All merchandise with a receipt and in sale-able condition will be returned at the Spartan Store within 90 days. Laptops & tech supplies, if opened, are non-returnable.

 

Online Bookstore Return Policy

Which Textbooks/Course Materials can be Returned?

  • New textbooks can be returned for a refund within 30 days of the order confirmation or two weeks after the start of class. Many eBooks can be returned within 14 days. 

  • Item was not from the marketplace. 

  • Item was not sold as “Not returnable.” 

  • Item was not “consumable” (ex. a one-time-use access code) and has not been opened, used, or had the access code revealed. 

  • Item was not sold as a rental. 

  • Bundles, loose leaf items, or any other sealed item must not be opened.

 

Items ineligible for return are marked “not returnable” at checkout. If you miss the deadline to return or you ordered a not returnable item, you can post it for sale on the marketplace.

 

How do I Return an Item that is Eligible for Return? 

There are two ways to start a return. (1) Visit ycp.textbookx.com, log in with your student account, and click “Purchases” under your username. Then, locate the item to return. Or, (2) click on “Returns” on the homepage, log in with your account, and then select from a list of your items. If you are not prompted to log in with a student account, log in with your TextbookX account or simply click “Returns” and then search for your order using your email and Order ID.

 

3 Ways to Sell Your Textbooks through the Online Bookstore

 

1. Guaranteed Buyback:

What is it? Some books are sold with a guaranteed buyback price. Items with a guarantee are marked with a flag so students know which apply. Benefits: In a hurry? Guaranteed buyback offers are quick. You don’t have to deal with the uncertainty of whether someone will buy the book if you post it on the marketplace. Actions: Students that bought items with a guaranteed buyback offer will be emailed at the end of the term with instructions on how to send the textbook back.

 

2. Instant Bids:

What is it? If you go to the “Sell” page on the website and type in the ISBN of the text that you want to sell, you may see an “Instant Bid.” That means a buyer is already identified and has a set offer for that text. You can choose to accept or reject the offer. Benefits: Like guaranteed buyback, instant bids are quick and take away the uncertainty of posting it on the marketplace and waiting for someone to buy it. Actions: Visit ycp.textbookx.com, click “Sell” at the top of the page, and then type in the text’s ISBN you want to sell. The website automatically searches for instant bids. If a bid is available and you want to accept it, follow the instructions to send it to the vendor.

 

3. Post a Book at your Own Price on the Marketplace:

What is it? Anyone can post any book on the marketplace and name their own price for it. Once posted, it is listed on the marketplace and will appear when students search for that ISBN or have that text assigned to a course. Benefits: When you sell a book on the marketplace, you get to name the price you want to sell it for. Guaranteed buybacks and instant bids are non-negotiable and sometimes lower than what others are selling the book for. If you think you can get more for the book, and aren’t in a hurry for a book to sell, posting on the marketplace is a great idea. Actions: Visit ycp.textbookx.com, click “Sell” at the top of the page, and then type in the ISBN of the item you want to sell. Follow the instructions to list the conditions and price of the item. It will be visible on the marketplace for anyone to buy it.
