This program is designed to ready educational professionals from public schools, private schools and academies, and from private industry to employ emerging technologies during instructional design, assessment, curriculum development and technology systems management. Students will learn contemporary pedagogical applications of education technologies, technology-facilitated media and design, technology-oriented assessment and research principles and technology systems development and leadership. Graduates will be distinguished as effective technology integrators within their organizations. Candidates with active PDE Teaching Certificates at the conclusion of their programs will be eligible to apply for the PK-12 Instructional Technology Specialist Certification. All candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA throughout their program. Please refer to the Graduate Studies catalog for department and program policies.
Degree credential candidates who elect the Educational Technology Specialization must complete a capstone project during their internship semester. Guidelines for this project will be provided by the Program Supervisor of the Educational Technology Program.
