Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

The Bachelor of Arts in Digital Art and Artificial Intelligence will equip artists for careers in gaming, animation and visual storytelling, utilizing generative artificial intelligence and other digital means as primary tools. Within this curriculum, students will express narratives visually, through diverse mediums in gaming, animation, and narrative illustration. The program offers a firm grounding in drawing, animation, creative writing, and the practical and ethical use of artificial intelligence. Following methodologies honed by industry standard practices, these areas of study will be put into action in gaming designs, animation projects, and manga/graphic novel/comic book illustrations and publications. Students will have the option to specialize in particular domains through independent study coursework or internships. The degree will culminate in a capstone portfolio suitable for presentation to the public and application to industry jobs.

Alumni from the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Art and Artificial Intelligence program will utilize artificial intelligence to leverage industry-standard technical tools and software for visual narrative purposes. Graduates will integrate effective direction for generative AI as a primary creative tool for generating novel visual work. These proficiencies will be amplified through core classes in foundational visual art, art history, aesthetics, creative writing and intellectual property. This combined expertise positions graduates advantageously for roles in animation, gaming, creative storytelling such as in the medium of manga/graphic novel/comic book illustration, and other industries that value the confluence of art and technology.
