This program challenges students to facilitate positive change as scholar-practitioners, educators, and leaders in the schools and organizations they serve. Prospective students of the program will include educators, school leaders, and organization leaders seeking to enhance their professional practice, develop new specialized skill areas, build practical research skills, and advance in their careers as educators and leaders. Candidates with active PDE Educator Certificates may also utilize program coursework to apply for PDE education credentials where applicable.

Professional Specialization
Candidates will choose one specialization. Candidates may not apply transfer credit or previously completed coursework at York College or at another institution to their Professional Specialization.
Business Administration Specialization
Public Policy Specialization
School Leadership with PA School Principal Certification
Candidates who elect the School Leadership with PA School Principal Certification Specialization must possess a PA Educator Certificate and take MED 572 and MED 594 as additional electives to be eligible to be awarded the PA School Principal Certification.
Teacher Leadership Specialization
Certified candidates may also earn the PDE Skills for Teacher Leaders Endorsement.
Youth Resilience Specialization
Certified candidates may also earn the PDE Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness Endorsement.
