Return to: Programs of Study
This Post-Masters Certificate program prepares candidates for careers as professional behavior therapists. In these roles, our graduates work in mental health agencies and organizations to deploy evidence-based techniques that help clients engage in healthy, productive, socially-significant behaviors. The York College Applied Behavior Analysis course sequence has been approved by the Applied Behavior Analysis International organization as a Verified Course Sequence. Candidates who complete the program’s verified course sequence and successfully document the requisite supervised fieldwork required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board are eligible to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) Examination. Candidates who are employed in a mental health agency or organization may complete some or all of their field supervision with their employer. Alternatively, candidates may also complete up to four 3-credit supervised practicum courses through York College.
