The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in General Business is designed for students who want to take a more holistic approach to business and impact organizations’ operations across multiple functional areas. It is also perfect for students who know they want a career in business but need a chance to explore the various business majors offered at YCP. The General Business curriculum covers a broad range of business disciplines while exposing students to opportunities to do hands-on work with local organizations. General Business majors can customize their path, and gain a deeper understanding of a field of their choice, by selecting a minor from all the options available at YCP. Graduates of this program are prepared for a variety of positions where their breadth of knowledge is useful, including store manager, account manager, consultant, or sales, to name a few.

Program-Specific Degree Requirements: Students majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in General Business must maintain a 2.0 average or higher in the Business Core Courses. In addition, students must attain a 2.0 or higher in each course that serves as a prerequisite to a subsequent business course. (Refer to the course description for specific prerequisites.) Students must also earn a grade of 2.0 or higher in the senior Additional Business Courses, BUS 494 and BUS 495 . This major requires a second major or a minor to be completed with a cumulative 2.0 average or higher in the second major or minor.

Constellation Requirement
The Constellation requirement is met when a student completes four courses from a minimum of three disciplines within the Constellation requirements. Students who transfer in 60 credits or more at the time of admission to the college will be waived from the Constellation requirement, except for Education majors. The waiver applies to the requirement for graduation but does not waive the credits to graduate; students need to meet the overall bachelor’s degree credit requirement. All students majoring in Business will take BUS 495 (a High Impact Practice and Innovation course) which will fulfill both a major requirement and 3 credits of the constellation requirement for any constellation.
