Because art’s foremost concern is the human condition, the art history minor is an excellent area of study for individuals in a vast range of disciplines including the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and even Business. In the Art History Minor program, students will encounter diverse cultural histories and heritage, learn how ideas and values are visually communicated, and hone their visual literacy and communication skills. The Art History minor is especially appropriate for students majoring in fine art, graphic design, theater, anthropology, education, psychology, history, foreign language, as well as majors in the business and hospitality industries, and other areas.
