The African-American Studies minor exposes students to an interdisciplinary curriculum that is focused on the study of the history, culture, government, politics, contemporary issues and experiences affecting people of African descent in the United States and the Atlantic World. The minor offers students a broader perspective on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in 21st Century America and enhances career readiness for students interested in a wide range of professional fields.

Requirements (15 credits)
Students must complete 15 credits of any of the courses listed below. At least 9 credits must be at the 300 level or higher.
