Early Elementary/Special Education, B.S.

Requirements for Graduation:

To be eligible for graduation, students majoring in Early Elementary/Special Education (dual certification) must complete all program requirements, including a minimum of 147 credits, achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and complete the General Education Requirements of the College. Courses used to complete General Education Requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.

In addition, students in this major must achieve a grade of 3.0 or higher in each of the following six courses—WRT102, WRT202, MAT115, MAT215, EDU200, and ECH210. Moreover, a 2.0 or higher must be achieved in each of all remaining Common Core courses. Students seeking certification in Early Elementary/Special Education will be required to have a minimum of 150 hours of Field Experience prior to the student teaching semester and meet specific Certification Requirements listed under the Department of Education.
