Diversity and Student Resilience, M.ED

This program is designed to position to teach educators, mental health practitioners, and other professionals in related fields to learn the root causes of the inequities experienced by many students in schools, identify community resources that might ameliorate some of these inequities, explore culturally and emotionally responsive approaches, and to positively engage with their schools and communities in ways that support students who have endured adverse childhood experiences.  Graduates are distinguished for the depth and sophistication in their knowledge of these issues and for the informed practice they apply in their work in our community.  Candidates who hold valid Pennsylvania Educator Certificates at the conclusion of their programs are eligible to earn the PK-12 Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness Endorsement.
