The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in Marketing is designed to meet the needs of students planning a career in marketing.  The wide range of marketing courses and electives offered by the Graham School of Business mirrors the wide range of occupations open to the professional marketer.  Businesses employ individuals with skills and expertise in marketing as advertising copywriters, advertising strategists, brand mangers, global marketing strategists, logistics managers, market analysts, market researchers, merchandise managers, professional sales people, social media managers, retail buyers, retail store managers, sales managers, and a host of marketing support positions.

Requirements for Graduation:

To be eligible for graduation, students majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing must complete a minimum of 120 credits of which 48 credits must be from non-business courses, achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and complete the General Education Requirements of the College. A minimum grade of 2.0 is required for First Year Seminar and all courses taken as part of Foundations. Courses used to complete General Education Requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.

The General Education Requirements of the college require students to successfully complete First Year Seminar, Foundations (FCO 103 will be a required co-requisite with FCO 105 for students who have a high school GPA below 3.20), Disciplinary Perspectives, and a Constellation. Students who enter the college with 30 credit hours completed will not take a First Year Seminar course and therefore must take an additional 3 credits for graduation. Transfer students that are awarded 60 or more credits upon acceptance to York College will not be required to complete a Constellation.

Students majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing must maintain a 2.0 average in the General Business Component courses and a 2.0 average in the Marketing component courses. In addition, students must attain a 2.0 or higher in each course that serves as a prerequisite to a subsequent business course, (refer to the course description for specific prerequisites). Failure to attain a 2.0 in prerequisite courses may lengthen the time to graduation. Students must also earn a grade of 2.0 or higher in their senior capstone course, BUS 494 . This major requires a second major or a minor be completed  with a cumulative 2.0 average.

A total of 48 credits (including FYS, Foundations, Disciplinary Perspectives, Constellation, and Minor courses) must be taken outside of the Graham School of Business.  Students who are waived from FYS must complete 3 credits of non-business coursework.  Students waived from MAT 102  must complete 3 credits of non-business coursework.  Students graduating with a declared major in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing may not simultaneously declare a minor in Business Administration or Marketing.
