The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a concentration in Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit Management prepares graduates for three career paths: to start a socially conscious enterprise sooner rather than later, join a family enterprise and take it to the next level, and become an entrepreneur within an existing social enterprise.  Students are engaged in entrepreneurial activities starting in their freshmen year by starting a small on-campus business, participating in activities such as elevator pitch competitions, working with social entrepreneurs in the field, creating business models, marketing plans and business plans, and other hands-on activities.  These help build self-confidence and business acumen and prepares graduates for a world of possibility.

Requirements for Graduation:

To be eligible for graduation, students majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Social Enterprise and Not-for-Profit Management must complete a minimum of 121 credits of which 48 credits must be from non-business courses, achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher, and complete the General Education Requirements of the College. A minimum grade of 2.0 is required for First Year Seminar and all courses taken as part of Foundations. Courses used to complete General Education Requirements may not be taken on a pass/fail basis.

The General Education Requirements of the college require students to successfully complete First Year Seminar, Foundations, Disciplinary Perspectives, and a Constellation. Students who enter the college with 30 credit hours completed will not take a First Year Seminar course and therefore must take an additional 3 credits for graduation. Transfer students that are awarded 60 or more credits upon acceptance to York College will not be required to complete a Constellation.

Students majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Social Enterprise and Not-for-Profit Management must maintain a 2.0 average in the General Business Component courses and a 2.0 average in the Social Enterprise and Not-for-Profit Management component courses. In addition, students must attain a 2.0 or higher in each course that serves as a prerequisite to a subsequent business course, (refer to the course description for specific prerequisites). Failure to attain a 2.0 in prerequisite courses may lengthen the time to graduation. Students must also earn a grade of 2.0 or higher in their senior capstone course, ENT 495  . This major requires a second major or a minor be completed with a cumulative 2.0 average.

A total of 48 credits (including FYS, Foundations, Disciplinary Perspectives, Constellation, and Minor courses) must be taken outside of the Graham School of Business.  Students who are waived from FYS must complete 3 credits of non-business coursework.  Students waived from MAT 105  must complete 3 credits of non-business coursework.  Students graduating with a declared major in Business Administration with a concentration in Social Enterprise and Not-for-Profit Management may not simultaneously declare a minor in Business Administration or Entrepreneurship or a major in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
