PHL 111 Comparative Philosophy

Fall/Spring

Comparative philosophy examines distinctive cultural philosophies, how these philosophies are shaped by sociocultural factors of a region, and how cultural philosophies compare with one another. Comparative philosophers also address evaluative issues that emerge in cross-cultural communication, identify models and methods of intercultural philosophy, and apply insights from cross cultural philosophical inquiries to contemporary global problems.
