BIO 340 Human Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology

Fall Alternate Years

This course is recommended for students seeking careers in health-related fields and research. The course will focus on understanding the correlation between the structure and function of the human brain. Throughout the semester, the students will learn about the circuits involved in core human behaviors, including, but not limited to, sensory processing, motor function, autonomic control of bodily functions, emotionality, and personality. Core competencies acquired in the course will center on communication, quantitative reasoning, and research inquiry. Students will investigate the correlation between cognition, emotions, and autonomic bodily response while working collaboratively on experimental design in a lab setting. Prerequisite: BIO 290  or PSY 210 .
