BIO 314 Climate Change: Science and Policy

Climate change in one the most complex scientific challenges facing the world today. This course gives students the opportunity to investigate the science of climate change and how organisms (including humans) are affected by physical changes in the environment. Case studies will allow students to examine climate-related issues from around the world and utilize problem-solving skills and interdisciplinary thinking to evaluate potential solutions. Students will also develop communication skills as they discuss and advocate for policy options that might help society adapt to or mitigate the impacts of climate change.  Prerequisite: BIO 290  

3 credit hours
