LIT 230 Topics in Global Literature

Fall/Spring

This course examines literary texts in translation from across the globe. The course employs different theoretical frameworks to examine how authors from different countries engage with issues such as colonialism, gender, race, class, and climate change. Special emphasis will be placed on contrasting literary representations of these issues across different cultures, while also reflecting on how those themes are represented in our national context.
