HSV 380 Child Welfare

Fall/Spring

The course will take a comprehensive look at child welfare services and what can be done to best help children from birth to adolescence. The course will explore child welfare services from the least intrusive to the more intrusive. Focus will be through the lens of trauma informed practice, stressing the importance of ensuring children experience no further trauma while services are being explored. Prerequisite: HSV 100 , SOC 100 , PSY 100 , or CCJ 101 .
