RAD 310 Radiography Theorum I



This course covers the basic concepts of radiography including procedure overview, x-ray production and characteristics, equipment, exposure factors, image quality, radiation units, biological effects and safety. There is also emphasis on physics concepts, matter, and electromagnetic energy. The clinical theory portion introduces students to patient care, professionalism, patient safety, infection control, assessment, medication administration, acute care, exam preparation, contrast media, bedside radiography, and special imaging modalities. Corequisite: RAD 320 Â
