PSY 307 Cognitive Psychology

Fall/Spring

This course studies, in detail, those mental processes and structures that compose the human cognitive system. The course will view cognitive psychology as the coordinated operation of mental processes within a multicomponent memory system. Topics include memory processes and theories, conscious processing, knowledge representation, and storage and retrieval of memory. Recent research findings and issues related to human memory are stressed. Prerequisite: PSY 100 . Psychology majors/minors and Neuroscience minors only.
