MUS 394 Applications of Functional Harmony

Fall

This course, through the study of music notation, emphasizes the synthesis and application of principles of functional harmony through analysis of existing works and the creation (composition) of music. Advancing musicianship and functional harmony course materials include: melodic and harmonic intervals and chords; figured-bass; keyboard harmony; literature; style; form and analysis.  Prerequisite: MUS 280  

3 credit hours
