MAT 345 Modern Geometry

Fall Even-Numbered Years

A rigorous survey of Euclidean geometry, recent additions to Euclidean geometry, non-Euclidean geometries, and additional topics. The historical development of geometry and related mathematics, from the Ancient Greeks to present day, will be interwoven in the course. Sketching software will be employed. Knowledge of Euclidean geometry is required for this course.
