IFS 225 Application DevelopmentFall
This course introduces application development through hands-on programming and structured problem solving and assumes no prior coding experience. Students use Python to build a console-based application in staged iterations while learning control flow, data structures, functions, modular design, input validation, debugging, logging, and basic testing. The course emphasizes how applications behave, fail, and defend against misuse, prioritizing correctness and maintainability over specific platforms or frameworks. Instructors frame concepts in terms of operational and business risk, preparing students for advanced application and service-oriented development.
