BUS 495 Strategic Management

Fall/Spring

This dynamic capstone course brings together everything students have learned throughout their undergraduate business education, from a strategic management perspective. Through an immersive, hands-on approach, students will tackle real-world business challenges, analyzing complex situations, making strategic decisions, and exploring the actions leaders take to build and sustain competitive advantage. Designed to bridge theory and practice, the course emphasizes three core aims: 1. Integrating knowledge from across the business curriculum into a cohesive understanding of organizational strategy. 2. Exploring how businesses interact with both internal operations and the external environment. 3. Applying business knowledge to the long-term operation of a simulated firm. Prerequisite: Senior standing, completion of 90 credits and completion of FIN 300  with a grade of 2.0 or higher.
