BUS 494 Business Analysis & Consulting

Fall/Spring

As a senior capstone class, this course will enable students to further develop their analytical and consulting skills. Students will collaborate with both faculty and business partners to work on a real-world project through the lens of consulting. Students will use a business process that focuses on the following key steps of consulting: identifying and defining the business problem, collecting necessary data and information for analysis, problem-solving and solution development, presenting recommendations and required task activities, and lastly providing insights for follow-up, such as metrics for success. The class will stress the importance of teamwork, requiring students to excel in the development of their collaboration, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. Prerequisite: FIN 300 Â with grades of 2.0 or higher and senior standing in a business major
