MHA 506 Teaching in Health Disciplines

This course prepares students to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to teach theoretical and practical components of education programs for health care professionals. Course topics include overview of contemporary theories of learning; the influence of context and curriculum philosophies on curriculum development, design, implementation, evaluation, and pedagogy; issues, challenges, and responsibilities of educators in health disciplines; the role of teachers in health disciplines; and academic leadership and faculty development. 3 credit hours
