MHA 504 Leadership in Healthcare

This course examines major theories of leadership and contrasts leadership with management. Leadership styles and strategies are explored to provide a broad perspective of the literature in this area. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of practical strategies to improve leadership skills applicable in a variety of settings. Throughout the completion of various projects, students are expected to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter via application of the theories and information presented in the assigned readings and participation in the discussion board. 3 credit hours
