NUR 631 Principles of Anesthesia 2

The second in a series of three courses that focus on clinical anesthesia practice. Anesthesia for the following types of cases: non-vascular general surgical procedures including laparoscopic/robotic procedures, gynecologic procedures, orthopedic/podiatric procedures, HEENT procedures (non-intracranial), pediatric patients, obstetric procedures and anesthesia for short-stay/outpatient procedures, and anesthesia at remote sites. Point of care ultrasound and ultrasound guided regional anesthesia techniques are integrated. This course will only be offered in the summer session. 3 credit hours
