ART 437 Senior StudioFall
In this interdisciplinary course, students refine and begin to define a focus for their Senior Thesis. Through hands-on creative process, readings, and discussions, students engage with contemporary artists, art theory, and criticism to deepen their understanding of the current art landscape. Students identify personal sources of inspiration and begin crafting their artist statements, aligning their developing work within the framework of contemporary practice. Emphasis is placed on preparing professional materials, including resumes and portfolios, to support career or graduate school aspirations. Studio work focuses on expressing individual art ideas through various formats, establishing a professional foundation for the Senior Thesis. Prerequisite or Corequisite: Fine Art majors and Digital Arts and Artificial Intelligence majors only.
